The lower bow section is built on the floor and is now ready for
painting the inside. This section is a water tight tank that will be
used for forward ballast. |

A view of the main deck looking aft, the engine room opening can be
seen in the center. Everything you see on deck is equipment used in
construction, welding machines, cables etc. |

An apprentice ship fitter is tack welding a piece of bulwark on the
starboard side. This is lifted into place with the overhead crane,
positioned and then tacked to the deck and frames. |

Tack welding the company name on the side of the boat, these will be
solid welded to provide "raised lettering" |

Bringing in the two main engines and setting them down in front of
the boat to prepare them for installation. Each engine has it's own
rotation, one is built for the port side and the other starboard. |

Disconnecting the transport jig or pallet from the engine mounts. A
four way spreader bar is used to make sure the engine remains level and
secure during lifting. It takes skilled machinists to install these
babies. |

Lifting the port side engine onto the boat. |

High overhead one of the two engines is carefully swung over the engine room
opening and lowered down. |

Machinists
work to align the engine onto the engine mount framework. |
